Conference Facilities

Simunye Zulu Lodge has imitated the swallows and eagles and built the conference centre into the cliff itself, nature has done the rest by creating an ambience which is both primal and timeless.  Due to its natural beauty, Simunye is a declared Natural Heritage Site and Conservation area.  There are a wide variety of breakaway areas ranging from thatched wooden decks set into the tree tops with the river below, to secluded waterfalls and a comfortably appointed cave in the cliff face.

This unique Conference-in-a-Cliff venue, can accommodate 35 delegates in Banqueting, 50 delegates in Cinema style, 60 delegates in Cocktail style, 35 in School Room style and 30 in the U-Shape style.

Sporting and leisure facilities include Swimming, Trails, Horseriding, Culture tours. Historical attractions include Mandawe Cross, Ulundi - House of Parliament, Ulundi - Zulu Museum, Fort Nongwayi - Museum of Zulu culture and Anglo / Zulu wars. Sporting / Team building facilities include Night Ambush - Survive a rescue through the bush with a platoon of Zulu warriors to capture you, Tug of war against cattle, horses and donkeys and Cattle wrangling.
